People in the WDI Consulting team have previously worked in leadership, consulting and management positions with well-known international or leading specialist organisations. Their expertise is underpinned by strong academic and professional qualifications.

Whilst individually different in many ways, the team is united by some important characteristics:

Lynn White

Principal Partner

Lynn set up WDI in 2000. Prior to that, she spent over ten years in business and organisational consulting roles based in the City of London. As part of an MBO team she led development of the organisation’s people, culture and capabilities in readiness for an IPO and subsequent sale. Her passion today is balanced leadership where she enables organisations and their leaders to create cultures of sustained high performance, where all people thrive and are able to bring their whole selves to work. Lynn is a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, has a Diploma in Performance Coaching and is a graduate member of the CIPD.

Happiest when: I’ve take on a new personal challenge and then successfully cajole my friends to tag along with me!

Cleo Nicolaou

Partner

Cleo has been supporting clients to design, introduce and embed new organisational structures, roles and ways of working for the past 25 years. She has been part of the WDI team for the last 12 and, prior to that was a senior consultant with PA Consulting Group. Her enthusiasm and experience has been developed in a wide range of private and public sector organisations in health-care, financial, high-tech and service industries. She enjoys understanding the different challenges each presents, and developing solutions to meet the client’s specific requirements, culture and business pressures.

Happiest when: I’m at home with my family, walking the dogs, gardening, playing tennis, making cakes with my daughter – but not all at the same time!

Caroline Sharley

Partner

Caroline has over 20 year’s experience in enabling people, individually, in teams and whole organisations to use both ‘head and heart’ in achieving their aspirations, purpose and potential. Before WDI she held senior roles with consultancies like Ernst and Young, and in house with a global bank. Caroline is a Chartered Psychologist, a certified coach with the International Coach Federation, and has a Masters in Organisational Consulting.  At WDI she loves putting into practice her expertise and learning more about how to achieve sustained, lasting change.

Happiest when: tramping over sunny fields with my husband and our two mini schnauzers.

Natalie Carrick

Consultant

Natalie’s early career was in life science product and business development, regularly working throughout Europe, America and India. Her approach is to quickly get to the heart of issues stifling progress, allowing clients to explore their challenges in a positive and constructive way. Her special interest is in making burnout a thing of the past – using innovative tools to make it easier for business leaders and their teams to perform sustainably at a high level. Natalie is an accredited Executive Coach with Strathclyde University and licensed in a variety of diagnostic tools.

Happiest when: I’m outdoors, riding horses, bikes or exploring mountains and lakes.

Clare Russell

Consultant

Clare has over 15 year’s experience supporting individuals, teams and organisations at key points of evolution and growth. Her work focuses on revealing the as yet unexpressed potential within individuals and collectives. She has a particular strength supporting teams and individuals in utilizing widely underdeveloped capabilities in the intuitive, mindful, systemic, energetic and transpersonal aspects of leadership and change.
Clare started her career with customer led marketing consultancy, Dunnhumby, where she worked at board level with some of the largest retailers and manufacturers worldwide in areas such as new market entrance strategy and L&D strategy. Clare is a certified coach (ICF), with advanced training in meditation, wellbeing and energy management modalities including systemic approaches to change, indigenous leadership and harnessing the balance of the masculine and feminine.

Happiest when: in a special nature spot picnicking in the sunshine with good friends and delicious food.

Lindsey Brown

Consultant

Lindsey works with people to help them find practical, workable approaches to relationship and organisational challenges. After university, she taught in Paris for a year before qualifying as a solicitor in London. Lindsey’s desire to understand and get involved in the dynamics of business relationships meant that she moved out of law and for the last 20 or so years, has worked as a consultant, specialising in using applied psychology. She has an undergraduate degree in psychology, a postgraduate certificate in Counselling Psychology, a variety of psychometric licences and is currently studying for a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Happiest when: I’ve had a good night’s sleep, am laughing in the company of friends and Muttley, my dog, is nearby – most likely on my lap!

Simon Dawson

Consultant

Simon has been working as a leadership coach and consultant for over twenty years. He helps leaders integrate their personal ambitions with those of their organisation and its people. Then he supports the process of turning those ideas into sustainable action. Performing at your best in times of uncertainty and change has been a thread throughout his working life, and still is. Before becoming a coach and consultant he was first an infantry officer serving on peacekeeping operations. Then he was an award winning sales manager with Cable and Wireless and BT working in the rapidly developing global telecoms market. Between these jobs he’s been a ski leader in the mountains of Norway and worked as a night support worker in a rehab center. Simon has a Masters’ Degree in Leading and Change in Organisations and a Diploma in Executive Coaching. He’s over halfway through a part-time PhD researching adaptive and generative leadership.

Happiest when: I’m somewhere wild, sea or land, the beauty shared with family or friends.

Esther Newall

Consultant

Esther joined WDI in 2010, coming from a consultancy background and having emerged from a long training in psychotherapy. Drawing on this mix of experience, she works systemically with teams and organisations to bring about cultural and behavioural change. Her mission is to achieve a rebalancing of the ‘machine’ and ‘social system’ aspects of organisations. Esther has an MSc in Occupational Psychology, is a Certified Transactional Analyst and a UKCP-registered psychotherapist in private practice.

Happiest when: I’m under clear blue skies in a warm breeze. And reading to my kids. And enjoying a good (so really bad) pun!

Paul Snell

NED and Coach

Paul has a background at CEO and Director level in central and local government and as the Chief Inspector of a national regulator. Paul now works independently as a consultant offering executive coaching and mentoring and holds a number of non-executive roles in the public and private sectors. He is an extremely effective coach, who has a real understanding of the range of issues confronting leaders of complex private and public sector organisations. He combines his unique understanding and deep curiosity for what works, with his own energy and commitment, to help lever practical actions for real performance improvement. He has a particular interest in personal and career transitions, maximising personal and organisational impact and building resilience.He has a coaching qualification accredited at senior practitioner level.

Claire Norman

Coach

Since 2001, Claire has been coaching individuals and team in the business and sports arenas to perform at their very best. She is passionate about enabling people to find enjoyment and fulfillment in their life and work. Claire held senior HR and Organisation Development leadership roles in the hospitality industry for 17 years, before establishing her skills as a lecturer and coach, specializing in personal and organisational change. As part of the team in WDI, she sponsors continued personal development in coaching. Claire is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a hypnotherapist, a certified Executive Coach and has a Diploma in organisational change and coaching.

Happiest when: outside in the country, and even better if I’m on skis, a motorbike or a horse!

Pam Spencer

Coach

Pam’s career in business spans thirty years in project management, HR, organisational development and, for the past fifteen years, as an independent consultant and executive coach. She believes greater self-awareness and a willingness to develop our skills are attributes that affect our whole lives not just work and that we all have the capacity to raise our game that provides a payoff to both individuals and their organisations. She has lived and worked in a number of different countries and has a particular interest in cross cultural issues and the value of diversity. Pam is a certified executive coach, is a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and is qualified to use a wide range of psychometric tools.

Happiest when: travelling to new places or pottering in the garden.

Linda Stokes

Coach

Linda has been a consultant and coach specialising in leadership and team development and behavioural change for many years. Working alongside clients to help them bring about their desired changes, she supports them in navigating the opportunities and tensions in organisations as they translate their intentions into action. Before consulting she held a number of senior HR and development positionsin financial services and IT. Linda has a Masters degree in Managing Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour, is an accredited coach through Ashridge Business School, a qualified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and licensed to use numerous psychometric and 360° instruments.

Happiest when: cooking at a weekend for my family and friends … with a glass of wine!

Liz Corrigan

WDI’s Linchpin

Liz has been with WDI since its inception some 16 years ago. She is WDI’s office manager and acts as a base station for everything WDI. Her exceptional organisational skills, endless patience and can do attitude make her a huge asset. Previously, Liz’s working career was in the insurance industry.

Happiest when: I’m laughing … with family … and friends … and my much loved hound, Sam.

Sally Hargrave

Social media consultant

Sally is currently working on WDI’s social media marketing strategy. She is interested in our relationships with our clients, and communicating WDI’s message of energy, balance and change.
She worked for the National Probation Service for 20 years (12 as a Manager supervising Probation Officers), where she equipped people with the skills needed to make positive changes in their lives. Since 2012 Sally has been Project and Fundraising Manager for a local charity working with adults with learning disabilities. She has accessed funds, maintained and developed the project.

Happiest: being with my partner, and the father of our 3 lovely children, and marrying him on the 25th anniversary of our first date together – I also love fresh air, friends and plain chocolate.
